Appetite

“When you sit to dine with a ruler, note well what’s before you, and put a knife to your throat if you are given to appetite. Do not crave his delicacies, for that food is deceptive.
Proverbs 23:1-3 (NIV)

Your appetite determines your direction. If your appetite is for approval, you’ll chase people. If your appetite is for status, you’ll chase positions. If your appetite is for wealth, you’ll chase money. But if your appetite is for God…you’ll chase purpose, peace, and truth. So, in other words, don’t let your appetite pull you into places where God never sent you.
